Hope the leaves are still looking gorgeous wherever you are and you are enjoying the cooler temps!
I just took a last minute trip to Washington DC to wish the great songwriter and legend, Tom Paxton, a very happy 88th birthday last weekend at The Birchmere and it was an absolute joy. I met Tom years ago at Swannanoa Gathering through my partner Cliff Eberhardt. We've been writing songs together over the Zoom every Friday for three years now and we've written dozens of tunes. He's not only a mentor, but a dear friend now. They invited me up on stage and I sang one of the songs we wrote that is on my album Paris called "Nameless Lady". What an honor! Sometimes Tom tells me stories about the "old days" in Greenwich Village listening to Bob Dylan's first few songs and giving him feedback (!) or when he played the Isle of Wight Festival in England in the 60s hanging out with John and Yoko...wow.
